Museum of Art and History

2 Rue Charles-Galland,
Geneva, Switzerland
Opening Hours: Tue to Sun: 11 AM to 6 PM
Sat: 9 AM to 12 PM

One of Switzerland’s best collections of paintings and archaeological is spread over four sites in Geneva; the fine art collections are the most interesting and include Dutch landscapes and English portraiture plus several Expressionist works from Cézanne, a room full of Rodin sculptures, and a beguiling display of contemporary Swiss work. Also worth checking out are the suits of armor, the vast array of guns, and the grandly decorated rooms transplanted from a Swiss schloss. The rather esoteric section on Geneva’s history could be skipped.

Admission free for permanent collections.
