Concert at Victoria Hall

Concert at Victoria Hall

Rue du Général-Dufour 14.,
Geneva 1204

Built in the late 19th century in Beaux Arts style in honour of Britain’s Queen Victoria, this concert hall’s acoustics are renowned throughout the music world and the interior was given an overhaul in 2006. The celebrated monthly Sunday concerts by visiting orchestras range from the works of Schubert to pieces by Ravel and Beethoven, and there is a full programme of classical concerts – plus some jazz and world music – almost daily during the week, most starting at 5pm or 8pm. However, it is worth popping in even if no events are scheduled, for the sheer exuberance of the neo-Baroque theater, with its mad gilded swirls and cherubs, crimson seats, and swagged stage curtains.

Duration depends on event.
