Friedrichstadt Palast is a Berlin institution and Europe’s largest revue theater. Expect glamour and fantasy, magic and good, old-fashioned spectacle. For each show, thousands of spectators pour into the roaring 1920s spiritual home of Marlene Dietrich, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. But high-tech plays a role here too: machinery can conjure a swimming pool or ice rink from the football-field-sized floor. Check the Web site before going, as the schedule varies.
