Crocker Art Museum
Tue, Wed, Fri to Sun: 10 AM to 5 PM
The longest continuously operating art museum west of the Mississippi River, the Crocker Art Museum provides a great look at California’s history through its large collection of landscape paintings. Founded in 1885, the museum is housed in an old Victorian house built in the 1860s. An expansion that will triple its size, add more exhibit space and family-friendly activities is in process. This is also part of a larger plan by the city to draw in more visitors by creating one of the top art museums in the state.
