Hollywood Road Markets
Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Get off Hong Kong’s famous covered escalator (the world’s longest) at Hollywood Road, famous for its antique emporiums selling jade jewelry and spectacular Chinese art and ancient furniture. Take an hour to amble its tributaries into SoHo and BoHo and the street markets packed into Peel, Gage and Graham Streets. At the point where Ladder Street crosses Hollywood Road, pop into Man Mo Temple, a moody, red-and-gold, smoke-filled structure where the gods of literature and war are revered. Head down Ladder Street and left on to Upper Lascar Row’s Cat Street Bazaar to poke around stalls selling imitation jade and colorful ceramics.
Opening hours are generally 11am to 6pm but hours may vary from one shop to another.
