The world-famous porcelain factory has its flagship store right on the main pedestrian street. Check out the traditional, hand-painted blue and white porcelain. If you’re lucky, a painter might be there giving a free demonstration. A second-floor museum explains the history of porcelain.

If you don't have time to go downtown, you'll also find an outlet in terminal 2 at Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport.

Located on Strøget, the main pedestrian drag. From Central Station, Nørreport Station, or Kongens Nytorv, make your way to Højbro Plads, roughly at the midpoint of the long walking street. (Look for the fountain with a swan statue, and the underground public toilets, which, by the way, are surprisingly clean.) The shop is just off of the square.

(If traveling from Kastrup Airport, take the Metro to Kongens Nytorv and walk from there.)
